TRIBUTE TO OUR FOUNDER
CAIMIN DONLON (1989-2023)
Our dear brother, Caimin, passed away last August 2023, and while we are still grieving his absence, we want to continue his legacy and fight for all the causes Caimin believed in and was relentlessly working towards.
Caimin loved his work, he was very proud of what he did and was an extremely hard worker. From the ages of 16 to 34 he went from being an apprentice chippy to the construction manager of one of London’s biggest construction projects - always motivating his team and looking after them in every sense.
But he didn’t stop there, it wasn’t enough to just help people in their careers by getting them more training and qualifications, he thought he could do more…So he did, he launched LadsMinds - a non-profit organisation raising awareness of mental health specifically aimed at construction workers.
Caimin always loved being part of a group, part of a community, part of a family…family in its widest sense…And that was his vision for LadsMinds, create a community where everyone feels part of a group...a family!
Thank you for showing us what it means to care…what it means to be there for people even when we didn’t realise we needed it.
